Partnership to Train Inuit Doctors

(May 4, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut) With the goal of increasing the number of Inuit physicians, the Government of Nunavut and Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) have partnered with the University of Ottawa Medical School to secure seats and provide targeted supports to students.

(April 29, 2022, Iqaluit, Nunavut) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) President Aluki Kotierk has urged the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) to intervene in Canada’s failure to address systemic discrimination in education.

NTI COVID-19 VACCINATION DRAW WINNERS ANNOUNCED

(April 29, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) President Aluki Kotierk today announced the winners of the COVID-19 vaccination draw.
Nunavut Inuit, enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement, over the age of five were automatically entered into the draw. The draw was conducted in Rankin Inlet by Vice-President James Eetoolook and staff and was witnessed by elder Hannah Benoit.
