NTI Announces Winners of the Nunavut Day Snowmobile and ATV Draws

(August 12, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) President Aluki Kotierk is pleased to announce the winners of the 2024 Nunavut Day Snowmobile and All-terrain Vehicle (ATV) draws.

Nunavut Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement were automatically entered into the draw for a chance to win a 2024 Expedition Sport 900 Ace LE snowmobile, or a 2024 Outlander DPS 500CC ATV. Two winners from each community were selected using an random selection generator and verified on August 9th, on International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples.

Winners will be contacted by NTI to arrange handover of the prizes. They are being delivered into the communities by sealift and have varying arrival dates.

“I am pleased that 50 more families in Nunavut will have access to equipment that supports food security, sovereignty and cultural on-the-land activities,” said President Kotierk. “Congratulations to all the winners!”

This is the second year NTI has held the Nunavut Day Snowmobile and ATV draws, funded by the Nutrition North Canada Harvester’s Support Grant. Winners must be resident of Nunavut. Inuit residing outside of Nunavut were eligible to win $5000 funded by NTI.
