(June 21, 2021 – Iqaluit, Nunavut) Nunavut Tunngavik Foundation (NTF) is pleased to announce that more than $92,000 has been allocated to four (4) Cultural & Healing Programs.
These four programs will take place during the 2021 summer season:
- Lasalusi Ishulutak, Pangnirtung; On-the-Land Program
- Krista Zawadski, Rankin Inlet and Chesterfield Inlet; Beading and Sewing Group
- Elizabeth Ningeongan, Coral Harbour; On-the-Land Program
- Kitikmeot Friendship Society, Cambridge Bay; Youth On-the-Land Program
“On National Indigenous Peoples Day, let us celebrate our vibrant Inuit culture. These four programs will contribute to the strengthening and revitalization of our culture and allow for healing from the direct and intergenerational harms of residential schools” said Aluki Kotierk, President of Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.

Nunavut Tunngavik Foundation (NTF) was created to manage surplus funds from the Common Experience Payment Fund of the Residential School Settlement Agreement.
