IQALUIT, Nunavut (October 3, 2001) Nunuavut Tunngavik Inc (NTI) today announced the appointment of Udloriak Hanson Comeau as Director of Business Development. She will be working out of the Iqaluit office, as the Business Development Department, which had been based in Rankin Inlet, has been relocated to Iqaluit.
Mrs. Comeau holds a Diploma in Management Studies from Arctic College and a Degree in Business Administration from Okanagan University College in British Columbia. Before joining NTI, she worked in a number of administrative and management positions in both the public sector (Federal Human Resources and Development Department) and in a private sector company in Iqaluit. Her husband, Richard, and their two children, Phillip and Robert, have accompanied her back to Iqaluit.
As well, Anita Ootoowak will be joining NTI’s Implementation Department as Land Claims Project Manager. A graduate of the Nunavut Sivuniksavut Program, and just completing her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Ottawa, Ms. Ootoowak previously worked in the Nunavut Legislative Assembly and in the office of Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Nunavut;s Member of Parliament.
Leslie Cousins will become NTI’s Associate Representative to the Implementation Panel Support Group. The office, based in Ottawa, is staffed by one representative from each of NTI, Government of Nunavut and the Federal government.
