(May 13, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut) – Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. is inviting Nunavut Inuit to tune in, learn more about the candidates, and take part in the democratic process by watching the virtual All Candidates Debate.
In partnership with Uvagut TV, NTI will host a live virtual debate featuring Presidential candidates on Friday, May 15, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET. The debate will air live on UvagutTV and NTI’s Facebook page, making it accessible to viewers across Nunavut and beyond.
The event will provide Nunavut Inuit with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates, learn more about their priorities and vision, and become informed ahead of voting day. NTI will also invite Nunavut Inuit to participate by submitting questions for consideration through NTI’s Facebook page. Public questions will help guide the discussion and reflect issues and interests important to communities across Nunavut.
The debate will be livestreamed in both Inuktitut and English to help ensure accessibility for viewers throughout the territory.
Nunavut Inuit may vote in NTI’s Presidential By-election on Election Day, May 27, 2026, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. local time, or by advance polls on May 20, 2026, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. local time.
