NTI Election: Update on Voters’ List

(October 2, 2020 – Iqaluit, Nunavut) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) will hold an election for President on December 14, 2020.

NTI wants to make sure that all eligible voters can vote on election day. Eligible voters include Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement, who are 16 years or older on December 14, 2020. Here’s how to make sure you are on the Voters’ List:

  • Go to NTI’s website to make sure the spelling of your name is correct. If the information is inaccurate, contact your CLO or Bernadette Tutanuak.
  • Five copies of the Voters’ List will also be posted in each community. Please check with your local Community Liaison Officer (CLO) and let them know of any changes.

 NEW for 2020 – COVID Planning

 In addition to the usual planning for weather conditions for the vote in December, NTI will also have contingency plans for COVID-19. NTI will follow the guidelines of Nunavut’s Chief Public Health Officer to ensure the safety of candidates, staff and voters.
