The Personal Credit Program is a component of the Residential School Settlement Agreement in which former residential school students will be entitled to non-cash credits to be applied towards educational institutions, including for Inuit culture, history and language programs if they so wish to attend such programs. The Personal Credit will also be transferrable to family members of a former residential school student.
For the duration of the Personal Credit Program, the incumbents will assist and facilitate Inuit who require assistance in applying their Credit or transferring their Credit to family members. The volume of calls expected will require the incumbents to have good track records for attendance and provide quality and professional standards of service to incoming calls and client intake.
The incumbents will also facilitate contact between former students and educational and cultural institutions, Personal Credit Program administrators and Personal Representatives for Estate or Public Trustees.
The incumbents will also be expected to travel for outreach work and/or development of educational and cultural programming for former residential school students.
Ability to speak with clients in both the Inuit Language and English is essential.
Training will be provided in early 2014.
Salary commensurate with experience plus benefits.
