(October 27, 2004 — Iqaluit, Nunavut) Leaders from Nunavut’s Inuit organizations will gather in Rankin Inlet for the Annual General Meeting of Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. next week, Nov. 2-4, 2004.
The meeting will draw nearly 100 participants to the community, including the NTI Executive and Board of Directors. Executive and Board members from the three Regional Inuit Associations will also participate.
AGM delegates will discuss a number of issues important to Inuit, including a review of the accomplishments of the past year, updating NTI’s financial strategic plan, a report on plans to establish a new financial institution in Nunavut, budgets for Inuit organizations and the future role of NTI’s Vice-President of Finance position. Presentations by Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, Inuit Circumpolar Conference and Pauktuutit will also be made during the AGM.
A feast with community members is planned during the week.
