NTI Announces 2013 Photo of the Year Contest Winners

Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. officials today selected the 2013 Photo of the Year Contest winners. Jeeteeta Merkosak of Pond Inlet was awarded $1,000 in prize money for her Narwhal at the Floe Edge photograph, an enlarged copy of her photograph, and the honour of having her photograph appear as the cover of NTI’s annual report and ad template artwork.

Niore Iqalukjuak of Clyde River took second place with Polar Bears, and won $500 and a copy of the photo. Charlie Tautuajuk of Baker Lake took third place with Birds and the Herd and won $250.

This was the eighth annual NTI Photo of the Year contest. Inuit are encouraged to continue to participate. Details and entries can be viewed at www.tunngavik.com.
