Nunavut Tunngavik extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and community of the late Attima Hadlari, a respected leader from the Kitikmeot Region and long-serving member of the NTI Board of Directors.

 Attima will be remembered as a man of principle and voice of reason. His words always carried weight and meaning, because he always spoke from his conscience. He was a strong advocate for strengthening and promoting Inuktut, especially Netsilingmiutitut, and a lifelong defender of education, wildlife, the environment, and the Inuit way of life.

Attima served on the Inuit Social and Cultural Development Advisory Committee and the Infrastructure and Housing Advisory Committee. He worked tirelessly for the Kitikmeot Region, and for the collective interests of all Inuit across Nunavut. His loss will be deeply felt across our territory.
