Nunavut Tunngavik Disappointed by Polar Bear Quota Reduction

(Rankin Inlet, Nunavut) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. Vice-President of Finance Raymond Ningeocheak today said he was disappointed with the decision to reduce the Total Allowable Harvest on the Baffin Bay polar bear population from 105 to 65 over the next four years. Inuit Donate $50,000 for Haitian Relief

(Ottawa) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. President Paul Kaludjak today announced that NTI and the Regional Inuit Associations donated $50,000 to help provide relief to survivors of the recent earthquake in Haiti. NTI contributed $20,000 and each of the RIAs contributed $10,000.
