Inuit Donate $50,000 for Haitian Relief

(Ottawa) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. President Paul Kaludjak today announced that NTI and the Regional Inuit Associations donated $50,000 to help provide relief to survivors of the recent earthquake in Haiti. NTI contributed $20,000 and each of the RIAs contributed $10,000.

Speaking on behalf of all four organizations, Kaludjak said Inuit wanted to assist in any way possible to help alleviate the suffering of Haitians.

“Inuit are a compassionate people. We come together to help one another in times of need. The tragic events in Haiti touched us deeply and we felt compelled to reach out to help,” said Kaludjak.
