(February 2, 2010 — Iqaluit, Nunavut) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. has made changes to the Photo of the Year Contest in an effort to make the contest easier to enter, and to give the submitted photographs more visibility. Effective today, Inuit interested in submitting their photographs to the contests will enter entirely online. Participants are no longer required to print the entry forms and fax them in. Forms can be filled out online and photographs can be uploaded directly from the website.

Photos that win the Photo of the Month Contest will continue to be entered into the Photo of the Year Contest. The winner of the Photo of the Year contest will continue to win $1,000 in prize money and an enlarged copy of the winning photograph. To give the winning entry more visibility, the photograph will also now be portrayed on the cover of the NTI Annual Report and will serve as the artwork in NTI’s advertisements.

The contest is open to all Beneficiaries of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement.
