Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.’s (NTI) Chief Executive Officer is the person to whom the Board of Directors delegates all operational authority, and is accountable to the Board for ensuring the achievement of the strategic results. The ideal candidate should have a thorough knowledge of NTI’s and Regional Inuit Associations’ (RIA) system of corporate governance; strong knowledge of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement; a proven ability to work in a politically sensitive environment; proven effectiveness in managing staff; strong experience in developing and managing budgets; excellent verbal communication and presentation skills; effective writing skills. Fluency in Inuktitut or Inuinnaqtun is a strong asset.

The ideal candidate should have a university degree or college diploma or equivalent in a discipline related to the job and at least ten years of related work experience (at least five years in a senior management position). Equivalencies that consist of a combination of knowledge, experience and skills to formal education will be considered.
