Implementation Officer

Under the direction of the Director of Implementation. The Implementation officer will be responsible to help NTI’s Implementation department meet implementation requirements of Articles 8, 9, 26 of the Nunavut Agreement. This also includes playing a key role in coordinating the implementation department’s responsibilities in the areas of Umbrella IIBA review, updates and negotiations. Working with the relevant RIA’s and NTI departments to track implementation of the DIO obligations of the NLCA using the Implementation Monitoring Tracking system.
To be invited for an interview; The incumbent should have a good understanding of the Nunavut Agreement, as well as experience with project management and financial management, have the ability to give effective presentations and work co-operatively with a variety of individuals and groups. A good understanding of the working relationship between Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. and various levels of Government as well as other Inuit organizations and NGO’s is important. Strong communication skills are required. Inuktut fluency is an asset and willingness to learn Inuktut is a requirement.
Preference will be given to Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.
Starting salary is $87,834.00 per annum (commensurate with experience) a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan, group insurance and vacation travel assistance.
NTI provides a variety of housing supports to employees including down payment assistance and housing allowance of $27,600.
