Health Policy Analyst
The Social and Cultural Development department requires a Health Policy Analyst to provide health research and advocacy to health related matters affecting Nunavut as well as to help develop and to implement Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated’s priorities in the area of health.
The successful candidate for this position will:
· Have knowledge of health related issues affecting Nunavut
· Have strong leadership skills and be able to take initiative
· Possess strong policy analysis, planning, and research skills
· Possess strong writing skills
· Have good knowledge of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement and NTI’s Mission especially Article 32
· Have experience in negotiating with all levels of Governments
· Have proven ability to work with other Inuit Organizations and maintain a good working relationshi
· Be fluent in Inuktitut or Inuinnaqtun and English
· Proven ability to work in a politically sensitive environment
· Proven ability to deal with simultaneously with multiple files
