NTI is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a feasibility study on the establishment of an NTI owned and operated data centre located in Nunavut. NTI is embarking on a process to streamline internal data management, build local data storage capacity, and make data more accessible to NTI staff and, where appropriate, Nunavut Inuit and external partners. NTI seeks to advance Inuit self-determination in Nunavut data, which includes developing localized data stewardship capacity and standards, with the eventual aim of implementing those standards within an Inuit regulated data environment.
