Under direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Registrar is responsible for advancing Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated’s commitment to implementing the Nunavut Agreement. The primary objective of the Registrar is to ensure that the Inuit Enrolment List is maintained accurately and securely, thereby upholding the rights and entitlements of Nunavut Inuit. To accomplish this, the Registrar directs, trains, and guides field staff in implementing strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the integrity of the enrollment list.
To qualify for an interview, candidates must possess a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Indigenous Studies, Business Administration) or an equivalent combination of learning and experience. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a leadership position, ideally within an Indigenous governance context, as well as experience in data management and in creating and delivering training programs.
Fluency in Inuktut is necessary, or a willingness to learn.
Preference will be given to Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.
Starting salary is $99,999.00 per annum (commensurate with experience). A comprehensive benefits package including an employee pension plan, group insurance and vacation travel assistance.
Housing Allowance of $35,232.00
