Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will plan, organize and lead financial reporting and project accounting functions for Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. and the affiliated entities. The affiliated entities include: Makigiaqta Inuit Training Corp (MITC); Nunavut Inuit Resource Revenue Trust (NIRRT); Nunavut Social Development Council (NSDC); Nunavut Economic and Social Initiatives Inc. (NESII); Nunavut Elders Pension Trust (NEPT); Nunavut Elders Supplemental Trust (NEST) and Nunavut Tunngavik Foundation (NTF).

The functions include but are not limited to accounting for investments, third-party and internally funded project expenditures and revenues, coordination and preparation of periodic and ad hoc variance reports, reporting to provincial, federal and other funders, coordination of the year-end statutory audits for NTI and affiliated entities and preparation and coordination of the annual budget process.

The successful candidate will have an accounting designation (CPA, CPA-CGA, or CPA-CMA). In addition, the candidate will have a minimum of (5) years of financial management experience preferably in a not-for profit organization. Preference will be given to those candidates with extensive knowledge of financial accounting and reporting systems, specifically Sage 300/ACCPAC. The candidate must have strong experience in developing and managing budgets as well as developing and presenting financial reports.

The starting salary is commensurate with qualifications and a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan, group insurance and vacation travel assistance.

NTI provides a variety of housing supports to employees including down payment assistance and housing allowance of $27,600.
