QIA Elections: Monday, December 9th

Monday December 9 is QIA elections.

Polling station locations:

The polling station for Iqaluit will be on the first floor of the Igluvut building.

The polling stations in the Qikiqtaaluk communities will be shared with Hamlet polling stations or Community Halls. Check with your local CLO for information.

Mobile polling stations will be as follows:

11:30 AM – 12:00 PM Elders home
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Inuksuk Highschool
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM Nunavut Women’s Correctional Center
1:30 PM – 2:00 PM Baffin Correctional Center
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Elder’s Qammaq
5:00 PM – 6:00 PM Northmart

If you are a Nunavut Land Claim beneficiary over the age of 16 who has resided in the Qikiqtaaluk region for 12 months or longer you are eligible to vote. If your name is not on the Voters list on Election Day, you may fill out a Declaration of Eligibility and present an identification card. If you will not be in your community on December 9, you may fill out a proxy form and have a beneficiary on the voters list to vote on your behalf.
