Qanuippitaa? National Inuit Health Survey Data Collection Concludes with Celebration

For Immediate Release

(May 1, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) President Jeremy Tunraluk is pleased to share that the data collection phase of the Qanuippitaa? National Inuit Health Survey is now complete.

Qanuippitaa? was created for Inuit. With approximately 3600 surveys completed across Nunavut, the data collected will be important to understand our health, our strengths and what areas require more focus and attention in our communities. This information will also help guide change in services, policies, and supports for Inuit health and well-being.

The results of the survey will be shared in ways that make sense to our communities — in plain language, accessible online, and available to all Inuit. Our voices matter, and the knowledge shared belongs to us.

“I want to thank everyone who took the time to share their voice and experiences with us,” said NTI President Tunraluk. “This survey is a powerful step forward in reclaiming our data and telling our own stories about Inuit health.”

To mark this achievement, NTI and the Qanuippitaa? team invite members of the community to a community feast and celebration on May 6, 2025 at the Inukshuk High School Gymnasium in Iqaluit. More details will follow with a Public Service Announcement.
