Nunavut Tunngavik President Hires Principal Secretary

Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. President Cathy Towtongie today announced she hired Anne Crawford to serve as principal secretary for the organization, with responsibility for the president’s office and political relations with other agencies. Crawford will be located in Iqaluit.

“I’ve known Anne for years, both personally and professionally, and I know that I can count on her to provide strategic advice to guide NTI in our quest to realize full implementation of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement,” said Towtongie.

Crawford has lived in Nunavut for more than three decades and has held several key positions in the territory including NWT conflict of interest commissioner, cabinet secretary for the Government of Nunavut, president of the Qulliq Energy Corporation, and northern director of the Akitsiraq Law School Society. She began her employment with NTI this week.
