Finance Clerk – Corporate Cards & Accounts Payable

Under the direction of the Controller, the Finance Clerk-Corporate Cards & Accounts payables provides a full range of accounts payable, corporate credit card reconciliations, travel processing and assist in the training of finance/accounting staff in accordance with all NTI Policies. Ensures timely processing of financial transactions in accordance with NTI Policies to include. Receive, verify, code, and reconcile NTI’s Travel Visa and other credit card monthly statements and record payments on a timely basis. Research credit card charges ensuring that all charges are authorized, accurate and complete. Ensuring that financial data is accurately recorded and properly allocated to appropriate departments and budget categories. Other responsibilities include account reconciliation and verification; assist in managing transactions including bank reconciliations and audit preparation for NTI and affiliates as and when required.

The ideal candidate should have Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in an accounting environment and minimum two (2) years’ data entry experience. Good interpersonal, organizational, and team-building skills. Working knowledge of computer software packages include ACCPAC and Microsoft Office is an asset and knowledge of general office procedures. A strong work ethic, good interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work with demanding deadlines is essential.

Preference will be given to Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.

Starting salary is $89,978.00 per annum (commensurate with experience) a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan, group insurance and vacation travel assistance.

Housing allowance of $35,232.00
