Apply Now: Inuit Learning and Development Pilot Project

The Inuit Learning and Development Pilot project is designed to prepare Inuit for potential jobs in the public service in Nunavut and give participants a greater understanding of the opportunities and value of careers in the public service.

The pilot project will provide Nunavut Land Claims Agreement (NLCA) beneficiaries with with practical work experience in federal government departments, Government of Nunavut (GN) and Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI). Participants in the ILDP project will also receive formal learning, coaching and mentoring opportunities. The pilot project involves four 4-month paid work assignments in different public service positions for up to 16 participants. It will take place in Iqaluit, Nunavut.

Want to be President for a day?

NTI is hosting the NTI President for a Day Contest for Inuit youth who are attending high school. All you need to do is submit a 500 word speech about Nunavut and the 20th anniversary of the NLCA. The winner will be flown to Iqaluit for Nunavut Day, July 9, 2013 and will take part in all the festivities. Iqaluit residents will be awarded $1500 cash in lieu of airfare, hotel and meals.
