Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. will hold a by-election for president and an election for two vice-president positions today, Monday, December 13, 2010. Polls open at 10AM and close at 7PM local time.
Results will be available live starting at 9:00PM at elections central at the Baffin Deli in the Igluvut Building in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Door open at 8:30 PM. All candidates, media and the public are welcome at elections central. Results will also be available on the NTI website at www.tunngavik.com and on CBC radio.
Which positions are being elected?
The president and two vice-president positions will be elected to the NTI Board of Directors. After the election, the NTI Board will assign the successful vice-president candidates either the role of Chair of Nunavut Social Development Council or Chair of Inuit Wildlife Advisory Council.
