Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.’s Qauma Mobile Treatment Project is funded by the Aboriginal Healing Foundation. The Project was launched by NTI in 2003 to help former residential school students deal with the long lasting effects of their experiences.

In 2009/10, the project will deliver healing and treatment services in four Nunavut communities.  Healers will be available in your community for a three week period to provide healing and treatment to former residential school students and anyone who wants counseling to heal from trauma or abuse.

The Qauma program focuses on the mental, physical, social and spiritual needs of its participants.  Workshops on grieving, coping skills, anger management, healing and sharing circles as well as one on one counseling are offered.

Location: Nunattaq Suites

HOUSE #4141

*taxi vouchers will be available to participants
