Kakiniit: Nunavut Day Grants

The Kakiniit Nunavut Day Grants are no longer available.  

Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Beneficiaries are eligible to apply for the Jose Amaujaq Kusugak Scholarship each year between April 1 to July 9. For more information: http://www.tunngavik.com/current-initiatives/jose-amaujaq-kusugak-memorial-scholarship/

In celebration of the creation of Nunavut, Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) created Kakiniit Nunavut Day Grants to support Inuit engaging in activities that promote, preserve or celebrate Inuit culture, or who are pursuing post-secondary academic programs.  The grants are co-funded by NTI and the Government of Nunavut (GN).

    Hi, I would like more information about the Kakiniit scholarship, I will be attending Community Studies at College of the North Atlantic this fall and would like to apply for the scholarship and would like the eligibility criteria and what is required to apply for this scholarship. Thank you.

    Hello, I’m looking into post secondary education, in order to get a grant would I need to go to schools in the north or if its anywhere in Canada? who would be eligible for grants, scholarships, funding? what are the requirements to be eligible for grants/funding?

    yes, there is the Jose Amaujaq Kusugak Scholarship. Application period is April 1 – July 9 each year.
