Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. Announces New CEO

Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. President Cathy Towtongie today announced that James T. Arreak was hired as the new chief executive officer of the organization.
Arreak worked as a consultant in Nunavut for the last ten years. He also served as an ex-officio member of the NTI Board of Directors in his role as a member of the Nunavut Trust. He previously worked with the Government of Nunavut with the Department of Finance.
“I look forward to working with Mr. Arreak. He has a strong finance background and will ensure NTI remains accountable and transparent to Inuit as the organization strives for full implementation of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement,” said Towtongie.
Arreak begins his employment on Oct. 1, 2012.
