NTI’s departments carry out the organization’s work to implement the Nunavut Agreement, deliver programs and services, support Inuit rights and benefits, and provide public information to Inuit, communities, partners, and governments.

President's Office

Provides executive political leadership, public affairs, and advocacy on behalf of Nunavut Inuit.

Vice-President's Office

Office of the Chief Executive Officer

Serves as NTI's link between the Board of Directors and the operating organization.

Office of the Chief Operating Officer

Directs Wildlife and Environment, Lands and Resources, and Inuit Programs and Services departments.

Office of the Chief Administrative Officer

Provides oversight for corporate administration, governance, and organizational operations.

Communications

Oversees all NTI communications, media relations and translation services.

Economic Advancement

Defines a primary role for Inuit in the development of Nunavut's economy.

Finance

Manages financial reporting, treasury, audits, and budget processes for the NTI Group of Companies.

Human Resources

Plans and implements NTI's HR strategy including recruitment, benefits, performance management, and occupational health.

Implementation

Monitors fulfillment of land claim obligations and ensures NTI meets Nunavut Agreement implementation requirements.

Information Technology and Systems

Manages NTI's information technology systems, networks, and technical support across all regions.

Intergovernmental Affairs

Leads NTI's involvement in the Inuit to Crown Partnership Committee and intergovernmental relationships.

Inuit Employment

Ensures commitments to representative levels of Inuit employment in Nunavut under Article 23.

Inuit Programs and Services

Administers NTI beneficiary programs including Hunter's Support, Enrolment, Scholarships, and other services.

Inuit Training Programs

Oversees Makigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation to enhance Inuit workforce preparedness.

Lands and Resources

Promotes and protects Inuit interests in the lands and resources of Nunavut.

Legal Services

Provides legal research, advice, and support on Nunavut Agreement interpretation, litigation, and regulatory matters.

Marine

Implements the Marine Framework focusing on conservation, sustainable development, and shipping in Nunavut waters.

Research Monitoring and Evaluation

Leads research, analysis, and policy recommendations related to NTI Board priorities and Inuit self-determination.

Self Determination

Explores issues and options related to Inuit self-determination, including self-government agreements.

Social and Cultural Development

Directs activities related to NTI's obligations under Article 32 for Inuit social and cultural equity.

Wildlife and Environment

Advises on Inuit wildlife harvesting rights and wildlife management under Article 5.
